Safe Foods Corporation is seeking a person to fill the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager position at the manufacturing facility located in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

The HSE Manager position will be a part of the R&D Team and be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the health, safety, and environmental processes at the manufacturing facility in North Little Rock and with Safe Foods personnel at product application locations.

The successful candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The HSE Manager should be an individual with high integrity and character with the ability to display leadership qualities to establish a First-Class safety culture


  1. Develop Corporate Safety policy

  2. Develop Corporate Safety manual

  3. Write and implement safety procedures (Safe Work, Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, etc)

  4. Develop safety monitoring and reporting process

  5. Establish emergency response procedure

  6. Develop safety protocol for off-site SFC technicians at customer locations

  7. Establish and report safety metrics (Lost Time, OSHA recordables, etc)

  8. Establish and implement Root Cause Investigation (RCI) process

  9. Interface with external Environmental consultants to ensure SFC compliance

  10. Interface with local, state, and federal agencies on all HSE issues

  • Required Qualifications*

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of 10 years operational experience in chemical manufacturing

  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience

  • Driver s license with clear driving record

  • Preferred Qualifications*

  • 20 years operational experience in chemical manufacturing

  • Comprehensive understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

  • Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures implemented in the field

  • Understanding of basic engineering principles

  • Understanding of safety monitoring processes

  • Ability and willingness for periodic travel with external SFC personnel to application locations

  • Experience with the preparation of graphical communication documents (charts, graphs, etc)
