  • SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objectve of position)

  • The Revenue Integrity Manager has extensive knowledge and experience in medical coding and charge capture functions. He/She will manage a team of Revenue Integrity auditors, ED charge capture representatives, and CDM personnel. This person will lead the team in finding revenue leakage, process improvements, department education, and denial management efforts. He/She will also work closely with the PFS Director and clinical departments to ensure complaince and accuracy in charging/billing. He/She will work with government and non government payers on denials, CDM, and charge capture practices. This position requires and maintains current knowledge of billing and coding guidelines and licensure.

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration and/or related field or minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital setting deatling with medical data and documentation. Extensive knowledge in medical coding such as CPT, ICD, and DRG. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other regulatory requirements. Knowledge of UB-04, itemized bills, insurance plans, grievance procedures and utilization management process required. Knowledge of the operations of patient billing required. PRevious experience in administrative or supervisory role. Ability to hold others accountable to performance related to lost revenue due to denials.
