The Lead Technical Support Specialist will partner with PS stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop, create, revise, and maintain field procedures (FP) and other methods for Power Services Gas Turbine (GT) products. The primary focus will be to provide consistent, high quality, PS FPs to enable Field Service outage excellence.
As the Lead Technical Support Specialist, you will:
Standardize and improve content of legacy PGS (Power Generation Services) and Alstom TS (Thermal Services) GT FPs and methods
Collaborate with PS Engineering and Training teams to develop methods and training for New Product Introduction (NPI), including new units and new outage tooling
Collaborate with oOEM Product Line to develop FP for oOEM GT products
Follow the FP revision process, implementing valid FP recommendations from Field Execution teams
Collaborate with FFA (Field Force Automation) and ELC (Energy Learning Center) teams as a key contributor to requirements for next-generation digital FP solutions
Collaborate with Productivity Engineering to update FPs, as required for NPI tooling development
Collaborate with regional Field Engineering teams to simplify and improve FPs
Implement corrective actions that require FP changes
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, college or technical school
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Field Services, Engineering or Operations with GE Gas Turbine experience
Strong English language communication capability, both verbal and written
Field Engineering experience
Experience in writing technical procedures and/or documents
Resourceful and adaptive to change
Strong customer service mindset
Strong project management / process management skills
