Implement and document written training programs for assigned residents at the appropriate time.
Ensure residents are appropriately dressed and groomed and assure appropriate personal hygeine.
Assist residents with eating (including safeguards to prevent choking, following diets, use of utensils, etc.) give instructions or training when needed, and feed residents unable to feed themselves.
Implement and document behavior programs that are individualized to resident.
Monitor and chart resident behavior using specific and descriptive terms (i.e., behavior changes, drug reactions, accidents, injuries, seisures, etc.).
Provide active treatment to residents.
Assist residents with cleaning the units and their bedrooms daily.
Complete incident/accident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Must be able to complete a full therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI) program with the ability to perform all restraints, holds, assists, and communication techniques as a direct care worker.
Must demonstrate a teamwork approach with co-workers in the milieu.
Must be dressed appropriately for direct care to clients, including proper shoes, clothing and jewelry according to thr Millcreek dress code.
Must use correct documentation on I/A reports, behavior record log, etc.
Must be able to complete full CPR/First Aide and perform all required procedures.
Provide care and/or conduct resident interactions in an age/culture appropriate manner.
Follow all safety polices and asheres to all workers' compensation program guidelines.
